How to find your jean size online

Jean sizes vary between brands, so measurements are more reliable than the number on your current pair.

Measure three things

• Waist: around your natural waist or where you wear jeans.
• Hips: around the fullest part.
• Inseam: from the crotch seam to the hem of a pair that fits.

Rise

Low, mid and high rise describe where the waistband sits. The listing should give the rise in inches.

Stretch

Jeans with 1 to 2 percent elastane give and may relax with wear. Rigid 100 percent cotton denim holds its shape and softens over time.
